Hi! I’m Christine Ibarra, the face, hands, and heart behind Cakepopbox and Shine Dessert Glitter. I am a wife and mom of three beautiful babies. I’m a creative at my core with a serious love for all things sweet, colorful, and sparkly. I started @cakepopbox while I was pregnant with my first son as a way to release some creativity and save a little bit of side money.
Even though I’ve always had an appreciation for creativity and DIY projects business has always come naturally to me. The year before launching Cakepopbox, I graduated with a masters degree in business. I’d spend the next 14 years in the business and legal affairs department of a popular movie studio.
Since 2020, I transitioned from a cakepop side business to an online and in person cakepop instructor where I’ve taught thousands of students the art of creating cakepops and other small desserts.
In 2025 I decided to take it a step further. I left my full time corporate job and pivoted to a bake supply store owner where I interact with bakers all day, host in person workshops and promote my brand of edible glitter, Shine Dessert Glitter.
